  Carnival is a “feast of feasts”. During Carnival time, the distinctions between noble and commoner are traditionally blurred. On that day it is allowed to laugh at everyone and everything, at each other, even the Death itself. In Roztoky, this tradition has lived its present
  life for over 20 years, yet still in the spirit of the original tradition. For a short time, people of all ages and professions come together during the common preparations and then in the parade itself. It’s colorful, wild, mischievous, noisy, overwhelming and cathartic.
  And the masks from Roztoky? They are hilarious and scary, traditional and contemporary, but always unique.
